ÖZGEÇMİŞ
Dr. Armen Yuri Gasparyan has been involved in clinical research on cardiovascular issues in inflammatory rheumatic disorders since 1994, and got his PhD degree in 2002.
He has been involved in research on platelet function, cardiovascular issues in rheumatic diseases, and scientific editing as a Research Fellow at the Birmingham City Hospital (2007) and at the Departments of Rheumatology and Research & Development, Dudley Group NHS FT, Teaching Trust of the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, since 2008).
He is an Honorary Member of the Croatian Society for Rheumatology and the Greek Rheumatology Society. Dr Gasparyan is also an Honorary Professor at South Kazakhstan Medical Academy and Visiting Professor at Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, Semey Medical University, West Kazakhstan State Medical University.
He joined the Scopus Content Selection & Advisory Board in 2015 as an expert reviewer of journal applications in medicine and public health.
He acted as a reviewer at The Lancet, Rheumatology (Oxford), Seminars in Arthritis and Rheumatism, Arthritis Research & Therapy, and Clinical Rheumatology.
Dr Armen Gasparyan is the Editor-in-Chief of Rheumatology International.
Dr Gasparyan was a Council Member of the European Association of Science Editors (2011-2014) and the Chief Editor of the European Science Editing journal (2011-2014).
He joined the World Association of Medical Editors in 2008 and the European Association of Science Editors in 2009.
